Ticket sales only account for about 33 percent of the costs of producing our high quality chamber orchestra concerts. Please consider supporting Pro Musica Colorado Chamber Orchestra!
Your donation is like a "vote" for Pro Musica Colorado! Every donation matters! When the SCFD and Colorado Creative Industries review our grants, they ask how many donors are supporting our mission of excellence. Each donation has a double positive impact on PMC.
One-third of our funding comes from ticket sales, one-third from grants, and one-third from individuals like you…
Be a Part of New Music! Special Recording Project...
We have received a $1 for $1 matching challenge from Judit Jackovics for up to $3,000! Please help us to reach this goal!
Pro Musica Colorado Chamber Orchestra is collaborating with composer Jeffrey Nytch, and Grammy Award winning violinist Edward Dusinberre, to perform the world premiere of Jeff's Violin Concerto: "Costa Concordia." The performances are April 13 and 14 in Denver and Boulder respectively.
They have received partial sponsorship to record the work on April 15th in Grusin Hall at CU, so we are seeking the additional funding.
The Violin Concerto: Costa Concordia was written In memory of Sándor Fehér, who put the lives of others (many were children) ahead of his own, and who died in the ill-fated shipwreck of the Costa Concordia (2012) while attempting to retrieve his violin, rather than be parted from his musical voice. The story of self-sacrifice is an inspiring one, and relevant today.
We feel this story is important to tell and to share as widely as possible, which is why a recording is the ideal. Recording costs can add up to pay for the recording engineer, musicians, the soloist, and composer and conductor fees. They have been blessed with an in-kind donation for the venue.
The remaining costs all add up to $6,000.
New music is such a gift. Telling stories through music is magical. Will you help make this special recording possible?
