 Announcing "It's about Love"


Featuring Bernstein's Serenade for Solo Violin, String Orchestra, Percussion and Harp. Soloist: Yumi Hwang-Williams. Yumi was featured on the cover of Strings Magazine and is widely acknowledged as a major interpreter of American works for solo violin and orchestra. The Serenade is based on the Symposium by Plato, where each guest expounded on the theme of Love. Also on the program:

Gustav Mahler's Adagietto from the 5th Symphony. Mahler's love letter to his wife, Alma.

Peter Tchaikovsky's beautiful Serenade for Strings. Tchaikovsky was one of Bernstein's favorite composers.
