Béla Bartók (1881-1945) Rumanian Folk Dances
Jeff Nytch Violin Concerto: Costa Concordia
Béla Bartók Divertimento for String Orchestra

Join us for this special evening featuring beloved violinist Edward Dusinberre and CU composer Jeffrey Nytch. We will present the world premiere of Jeffrey’s Violin Concerto, Costa Concordia, which tells the story of a Hungarian violinist on the ill-fated cruise ship. The opening work, a setting of Rumanian folk dances by Bartók as well as the composer’s Divertimento for String Orchestra highlight the Hungarian composer’s passion for the folk music of his native land.

Join Pro Musica’s Music Director, Cynthia Katsarelis, for a free pre-concert talk at 6:30 pm.
