Stacy Lesartre, Concertmaster

Stacy Lesartre, concertmaster, is currently concertmaster with both the Fort Collins Symphony and Cheyenne Symphony. She has played in the Houston Symphony, Denver Chamber Orchestra and in numerous chamber ensembles.

Barbara Hamilton, Principal Viola

Barbara Hamilton, is the Artistic Director and Violist with the Colorado Chamber Players, now entering its 26th season. For the past five years, Barbara has embarked on a study of baroque instruments, including the Viola d’Amore. She recently acquired a 2018 Olivia Pelling Viola d’Amore. Previous orchestra positions include Principal Viola with the Orquesta de Barcelona, Eastern Music Festival, and Colorado Symphony, and Assistant Principal Viola with Buffalo Philharmonic. She held a one year tutti viola position with New York Philharmonic. Barbara has played with Pro Musica for 13 years, since its inception. She served as the Chamber Music coordinator at Denver School of the Arts from 2013-2018. Barbara has performed chamber music with Lynn Harrell, David Krakauer, Julia Fischer, Roger Tapping, Jesse Levine, and Sharon Isbin.

Leslie Sawyer, principal second violin, served as concertmaster of the Eugene, Oregon, Symphony and is currently principal second violin with the Fort Collins Symphony. She has played extensively with the Colorado Symphony, Central City Opera and numerous orchestras and chamber ensembles.

Susie Peek was a member of the Colorado Symphony for 5 years, the Charlotte Symphony for 13 years, and now free-lances, teaches, and provides wedding music in the Denver metro area.

Carole Whitney, principal, served as Assistant Principal Cellist with the New Jersey Symphony for 22 years and has played with the orchestras of the Metropolitan Opera, New York City Ballet, Santa Fe Opera, and has extensive chamber music experience.

Heidi Mausbach has played with the Pro Musica Colorado for over 10 years. She is Assistant Principal cellist with the Fort Collins Symphony, Cheyenne Symphony and cello instructor at FRCC, Larimer Campus. Heidi is an active chamber musician performing with Front Range Chamber Players, and coaching students through Off the Hook Arts after-school Academy and Just Chamber Music Summer festival.

Beth Vanderborgh has performed with Pro Musica Colorado for three seasons. Dr. Vanderborgh serves as Associate Professor of Cello at the University of Wyoming and is principal cellist of the Cheyenne Symphony and the Shenandoah Valley Bach Festival Orchestras and artist-faculty at the Eastern Music Festival under the direction of Gerard Schwarz. Her Albany Records release of the Salon Music of August Nolck was praised by Strad Magazine as "lyrical and technically accomplished… eloquent and persuasive."

Paul Erhard is on the faculty of CU Boulder.

Grammy winning hornist Marian Hessetours internationally with the Chestnut Brass Company and performs with leading musical organizations in Colorado including the Colorado Ballet, Opera Colorado and Colorado Pro Musica. She has adjudicated major horn competitions in the United States and abroad and has served as Secretary/Treasurer of the International Horn Society. Horn graduates of UNC perform in orchestras across the globe and hold teaching positions worldwide. Her publications include two books of Daily Routines for the Horn Player, published by Mountain Peak Music and more than twenty recordings. It isn’t difficult, it’s just new!

Devon Park has performed in Colorado since 1986 and is a frequent performer with many front range orchestras. Besides music he enjoys spending time in the mountains.

Bruce Barrie is a member of the Grammy award winning Chestnut Brass.

In addition to performing with Pro Musica Colorado for the past 7 years, Miriam Kapner also performs with the Colorado Bach Ensemble, and teaches at Regis University and Denver School of the Arts. She is passionate about chamber music, and is currently working on the creation of a house concert series in the Denver/Boulder area.

Mary Harrison is principal viola of the Boulder Philharmonic.

Ethan Hecht is principal viola of the Fort Collins Symphony.

Debbie Holland has held positions with the Tucson Symphony, the Phoenix Symphony and the Pittsburg Opera and Ballet orchestras. She performs regularly with the Colorado, Cheyenne, and the Colorado Springs symphonies.

Desiree Cedar-Suarez has played in Michael Tilson Thomas’s New World Symphony and plays in the Colorado Springs Philharmonic and other regional orchestras.

Leslie Stewart is a charter member of Pro Musica and serves on the faculty at Colorado State University. A former member of the Puerto Rico Symphony, Cabrillo Music Festival Orchestra and Alabama Symphony, she now plays regularly with the Ft. Collins Symphony and serves as Assistant Principal Second Violin of the Cheyenne Symphony.

Anne Baldwin Beer currently teaches in the Boulder area and performs extensively with the Colorado Symphony.  She has held positions as concertmaster of the Colorado Ballet, Cheyenne Symphony and Greeley Philharmonic.  Prior to moving to Colorado she was Associate Principal with the San Antonio Symphony and performed with the National Symphony in DC for six summers, Syracuse Symphony, the Westminster Cathedral Chamber Orchestra (London) and the Colorado Music Festival. 

Michelle Stanley is Associate Professor of Music (flute) at Colorado State University. She is principal flute with the Pro Musica Chamber Orchestra and the Colorado Bach Ensemble.

Olga Shylayeva is a member of the Boulder and Greeley Philharmonics, is the former principal flute Kiev Symphony, and has recorded for Naxos.

Alaunde and her dog relocated from New York City to beautiful Boulder in 2001. She loves playing with the expert musicians in Pro Musica, and is also principal flute of the Greeley Philharmonic and Colorado Chamber orchestras. Her own compositions have been performed all over the country, including at the National Flute Association Convention.

Lisa Martin is Principal Oboe of Central City Opera and the Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition, Ms. Martin has played Principal Oboe with the Cheyenne Symphony, the Colorado Ballet and the Denver Municipal Band. During the 2000-2001 Season, Ms. Martin played Assistant Principal/second oboe with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra.
